Biography

Omar Arafat, M.D., is a board-certified radiologist who specializes in body imaging. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with magna cum laude honors in neuroscience and completed medical school at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.

After a one-year internal medicine program at St. Joseph’s Resurrection Health Care in Chicago, Dr. Arafat returned to California and completed a four-year residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of California, Irvine, where he served as chief resident and was awarded resident Of The Year. Afterwards, he returned to UCLA to complete a one-year fellowship in abdominal imaging with additional focused training in musculoskeletal imaging.

In addition to his clinical experience, Dr. Arafat has contributed to several exhibits presented at meetings of professional medical associations, including the Radiological Society of North America. He has also contributed to articles published in Emergency Radiology, the Journal of Clinical Imaging Science, and the American Journal of Neuroradiology. Dr. Arafat enjoys spending time with his family, has an encyclopedic knowledge of music, and is a fitness enthusiast.
